Wakefield Cathedral, is the tallest church in Yorkshire, with a spire reaching a height of approximately 247ft, which still proudly dominates the city skyline today.
A hidden architectural gem here in Wakefield, it has origins of a pre-Conquest church. However, the story of the present building started circa 1150, when parts of the Church's surviving nave north arcade were originally built.
